San Juan Island Tortillas is a small family business located in Friday Harbor, Washington. Started in 2019 by Chef Jason Aldous and Sarah Aldous with "help" from their daughters aged 4 & 9.
We take the best corn we can find and take it through a process called nixtamalization. This unlocks nutrients within the corn and prepares it for grinding with our volcanic stone mill.
Our stone ground tortillas are made by hand in small batches. You cannot make a great taco without a high quality tortilla.
